The Brook Cherith sustained the prophet Elijah during a severe drought, serving as a secluded place for him to commune with God, find solace, and prepare for his purpose. 

Elijah means “Yahweh is my God.” He was an ordinary person who performed extraordinary acts of faith. His journey took him from a hidden brook to a mountaintop, where he called down fire from heaven to prove God was real for all to see.
