I Lift Up My Eyes

I lift up my eyes to the mountains —
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

He will not let your foot slip —
He who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, He who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lord watches over you —
the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.

The Lord will keep you from all harm —
He will watch over your life;
the Lord will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.

Psalms 121

Open mountain road through a pine forest at sunset in Big Bear, California, under a soft peach sky.A recent getaway to Big Bear Lake, brings to mind God's promises in Psalm 121. At times we have to go through mountains in life to get to where God's wants us to be. Take comfort knowing He is with you at the mountain. Even when life is hard and challenging — He is watching over you, guiding you, protecting you along the way. There is a reason He is sending you up that mountain. Trust in Him. The road may be long and uncertain but He is the maker of heaven and earth. His ways are higher than ours. Stay hopeful, look up, and bask in His great presence.

Thank you Lord for the meeting me at the mountain. I believe and rejoice in You alone!
